Job Description

Provides direct assistance and support to the technologist and to the department the Hospital Assistant III is assigned. As an integral part of the imaging team, assist and support the department assigned, to include the following:

* Prepare patient for exam, review screening forms and change patient.
* Assist technologist in room turnover, cleaning and set-up of equipment.
* Provide transportation for inpatients and/or outpatients to and from the department of radiology.
* Ensure that all IV's or other patient equipment is safely transported.
* Provide interdepartmental communications regarding patients' status.
* Assist technologist in positioning patient onto to the imaging table.
* Auditing and distribution of supplies and linen
* Transport of equipment or lab specimens when required.
* Heightening awareness and practice of department safety policies including MR and radiation safety.

The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.

Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.

The salary range for this position is $32.86 - $41.01 (Hourly Rate).
