Position Summary:
A GRT Client is seeking a Solution Engineer to support critical Kronos Workforce Management (WFM) implementations and deployments. In this role, you will provide hands-on engineering support, troubleshooting, and code deployments for non-production and live production environments, ensuring seamless functionality and stability of Kronos WFM across the enterprise. This position requires deep knowledge of Java, Oracle Exadata, and related technologies, along with the flexibility to work off-hour shifts as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Kronos WFM Operations & Support:
● Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Kronos WFM within the organization.
● Provide off-hour support (potentially once a week) for solution deployments, issue resolution, and system maintenance.
● Collaborate with cross-functional Back of Stores (BOS) scrum teams, helpdesk, and L2 teams to address and remediate issues in real time.
● Ensure all critical Kronos WFM technology components remain up and running, especially during production outages.
Application & Code Deployment:
● Plan and execute code deployments for Kronos WFM, addressing rollout issues promptly.
● Update or modify Java code strings to resolve performance or functional concerns.
● Monitor applications using Splunk (preferred), analyze diagnostics, and act on insights to improve reliability.
System Maintenance & Upgrades:
● Own the upgrade and patch management processes for Kronos WFM, JBoss/Oracle WebLogic servers, and Oracle databases (12c/19c/21c).
● Partner with third-party support vendors and internal teams to enhance system stability, scalability, and performance.
● Adhere to and advocate for ITIL best practices, ensuring high-quality service delivery and change management.
Technical Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:
● Interface with diverse teams (e.g., engineering, business stakeholders, IT shared services) to align development efforts and operational requirements.
● Document incidents, procedures, and solutions as Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to bolster future support capabilities.
● Escalate unresolved issues according to company processes, ensuring proper visibility and prompt resolution.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
● Bachelor's Degree in IT or equivalent professional experience.
● 3+ years of experience implementing Kronos WFM products.
● 3+ years of experience implementing Oracle Exadata Cloud Service / at Customer.
● 2+ years of experience using enterprise software development with Java.
● 3+ years of hands-on experience with JBoss or Oracle WebLogic server.
Technical Proficiency:
● Strong understanding of Kronos WFM functionality and upgrade processes.
● Familiar with secure coding and best practices in a large-scale environment.
● Working knowledge of Oracle Database (12c/19c/21c).
● Proficiency in Splunk or similar monitoring tools is highly preferred.
● Familiarity with VMware - Linux VM, Hyper-V, and Windows 10 for deployment and troubleshooting.

Additional Details:
● Work Authorization: Must be eligible to work on a W2 basis.
● Location Requirement: Must reside in or be willing to relocate to Framingham, MA. Although the role is 100% remote, local residency is required
