Senior Application Support Engineer Description

We are seeking a proactive and skilled Senior Application Support Engineer to join our team and help ensure the stability of our production systems.

In this role, you will handle customer support with a focus on resolving application issues to promote operational efficiency. Your proficiency in application support tools and IT service management frameworks will play a vital role in providing effective solutions. Success in this position will rely on teamwork and clear communication with customers.

Responsibilities

• Provide application support and oversee the stability of production systems
• Information Technology Infrastructure Library methodologies to uphold best practices
• Troubleshoot and resolve application issues, identifying root causes
• Handle Azure Kubernetes Service, including frequent interaction with cluster logs
• Support additional Azure services as business needs evolve
• Address web-related issues, including REST protocols
• Promote knowledge management practices for efficient information sharing
• Deliver clear and professional communication with customers and stakeholders
• Work with team members to build a collaborative environment
• Create technical documentation to streamline future processes

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in application support or maintaining production systems
• Proficiency in Information Technology Infrastructure Library and related IT service management frameworks
• Skills in Azure Kubernetes Service and additional Azure services
• Knowledge of web troubleshooting techniques for REST and similar protocols
• Basic familiarity with artificial intelligence concepts
• Strong communication skills and English proficiency of at least B2
• Capability to manage knowledge-sharing tasks effectively

Nice to have

• Familiarity with GitHub and GitLab for effective version control
• Understanding of Helm for managing Kubernetes applications
• Expertise in ServiceNow or equivalent ITSM ticketing tools
