- Develop test systems and test plans required to test electrical power subsystem functionality and performance over full life of space vehicle.
- Work with test engineers and system engineers to define, develop and iterate the functional test procedures used by the electrical power, solar, and battery test systems.
- Support execution of vehicle functional testing, including setup, configuration and scripting of vehicle test systems.
- Investigate failures, including issues on the device under test as well as the test system, and drive issues to resolution working with design engineers.

A day in the life
This is a fast-paced, intellectually challenging position. You will be focused on verifying product and system requirements through verification testing across multiple venues including hardware in the loop testing and production acceptance testing. You will develop test processes and tools including automation which will scale test campaigns while holding a high bar for quality and test coverage. You will help manage and perform tests with satellites on-orbit and help to debug and root cause issues found in all test campaigns.

You will work with leaders in multiple engineering areas, technical staff, and highly skilled technicians on a daily basis. This is a cross-functional role requiring frequent interaction with multiple hardware and software design teams, production operations, and mission management. You’ll have relentlessly high standards for yourself and everyone you work with, and you’ll be constantly looking for ways to improve system performance, and manage non-conformances into actionable items and procedural improvements.
