The Opportunity

The HR & Staff Recruiting Coordinator will support both the HR and staff recruiting functions for Seyfarth Shaw’s assigned office(s). In this role, you will operate in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and act as a point of contact for all employees on process and procedures, and guidance on all aspects of the employee life cycle. Responsibilities include assistance with recruitment and onboarding processes and HR data, payroll procedures, and training for staff.

The Day-to-day

  • Provide administrative support to the Human Resources Manager and the Regional Staff Recruiting Manager
  • Assist with new hire orientation, onboarding, I-9 verifications and staff integration process
  • Complete termination paperwork, assist with exit interviews, response data entry, and reporting
  • Process personnel action forms and unemployment claims
  • Support all internal and external HR related inquiries or requests
  • Assist HR Manager with the annual evaluation process and ad-hoc projects
  • Maintains the applicant tracking system, including opening and closing positions, scheduling interviews, updating candidate records, etc.
  • Posts positions on a variety of sites such as social media, associations, universities, veteran and disability organizations, etc.
  • Generates offer letters
  • Generates fee agreements and maintain relationships with search firms/external vendors
  • Updates and maintains the Firm’s internal staff recruiting site
  • Prepares and updates job postings
  • Schedule interviews with candidates, gather interview feedback, and prepare summary of interview evaluations
  • Communicate with key stakeholders at the firm

You Have

  • Working knowledge of viDesktop and Workday preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and technical skills
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or human resources is preferred
  • 1-3 years of experience in HR and/or recruiting experience within law firms or professional services
  • Knowledge of local, state and federal employment law and EEO guidelines
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive matters and respond effectively to such situations
