As an Estimator, you will play a vital role in our project workflow, responsible for developing accurate cost estimates for lighting packages based on construction plans and specifications. This position requires a detail-oriented, analytical thinker with strong communication and organizational skills. Your work will ensure that our proposals are competitive, precise, and aligned with customer needs.
Analyze lighting finish schedules and construction plans to prepare accurate and competitive bids.
Evaluate and interpret proposal specifications, RFIs, and client feedback to refine estimates.
Collaborate with suppliers to obtain pricing and identify the most cost-effective options.
Compile detailed cost data for production, materials, and labor aligned with project requirements.
Apply industry knowledge and sound judgment to ensure timely, accurate proposals.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to support ongoing and special projects.
Prepare customized reports and summaries based on project specifications and analysis.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal processes and client experience.
Assist management with ad hoc projects as needed.
Take initiative on process improvement and operational enhancement tasks.
Produce timely and accurate deliverables for assigned initiatives.
Support the broader team in achieving project and organizational goals.
Associate’s degree or higher required; relevant estimating experience preferred.
Experience in the lighting and/or plumbing industry is a strong plus.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with On-Screen Takeoff (OST) is advantageous.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret technical documents and construction plans.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and committed to excellence.
Quick learner with a growth mindset and eagerness to take on new challenges.
Strong interpersonal skills; able to work well in a team and independently.
Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
Professional demeanor, both in person and in written correspondence.
Willingness to work overtime when necessary to meet project deadlines.
This role is part of our Fast Track Program , designed to provide foundational training in our business operations and industry best practices. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to advance into positions such as Planner, Project Manager, or Inside Sales Manager.
