Job Purpose:
The Business Analyst will play a critical role in ensuring the development of IT solutions that meet business needs and requirements. This role involves gathering, documenting, and validating business requirements, working closely with stakeholders, and guiding the team throughout the project lifecycle. The Business Analyst will collaborate with various teams to understand current and future-state business processes and ensure all requirements align with project goals.

Requirements

• Document business requirements that are clear, testable, and satisfy the business needs in alignment with DTMB and MDOS policies, standards, and guidelines.
• Facilitate requirement gathering meetings with relevant stakeholders and project team members to identify impacted business processes and document the project business requirements.
• Work with the Product Owner to maintain the project backlog in Agile projects, setting priorities throughout the project's lifecycle.
• Understand project scope and monitor the requirements process to ensure adherence to objectives.
• Understand high-level information governance objectives and ensure proper stakeholder involvement regarding data requirements.
• Resolve critical IT issues in relation to business requirements.
• Provide information and analysis for Build vs. Buy project decisions.
• Understand the impact of project changes and their effect on scope or business requirements.
• Ensure that all SEM (System Engineering Methodology) deliverables are completed and approved according to project standards.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers , database administrators , developers , QA testers , and other team members to ensure proper understanding of the requirements, functionality, and scalability of the IT solution.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in IT projects.
• Strong Quality Assurance knowledge, with at least 5 years of experience in quality assurance processes.
• Experience with Azure DevOps , including creating epics, features, and user stories for projects.
• Understanding of Business Analyst (BA) , QA , and Development (DEV) roles and responsibilities, with at least 5 years of experience.
• Experience with as-is/to-be processes and content creation.
• 3+ years of experience in creating product roadmaps .
• Familiarity with Project Management Methodologies and Agile .
• Proficiency in using BA tools such as Figma and Visio (minimum 3 years).
